Finance and accounting
We work alongside the whole business, driving fantastic performance and providing insight and strategic advice to our decision-makers.
In our diverse finance function, there are opportunities at every level, whether you're an experienced finance professional or someone looking for their first opportunity.
We're committed to continuing professional development and where we believe it is relevant to a particular role, we provide funding and support to help our colleagues obtain relevant accounting qualifications, such as either their CIMA or ACCA qualification.
There are three key areas within finance:
Working in accounts you will operate in the transactional side of finance operations or on financial and management reporting for the Group. This may include: product pricing and invoicing; cash and treasury management; cost control and overhead management; personnel and payroll processing; maintaining financial ledgers; coordinating the month-end process for all of the financial transactions as well as internal and external financial reporting.
Financial planning & analysis
Our team produces insightful, detailed operational management information as well as controlling the budgeting and forecasting processes. This involves forming the link between finance and the business and supporting key decisions – including investment appraisal and assessing the impacts of marketing promotions and other initiatives.
Credit control & sales ledger
Credit control forms the link between finance and the publicans operating across the estate, by helping to manage debt, working with publicans to maintain the flow of beer whilst ensuring that Ei Group plc is paid and that the incidence of bad debts are minimised. This is achieved by communicating directly with publicans and field operations on a daily basis. In addition, where a publican assigns their lease or leaves the pub, departure statements are produced by sales ledger, which involves compiling and validating data from a variety of sources, working with different departments throughout the company and communicating with the outgoing publicans.
Within the finance division, we value people who are passionate about providing first-class financial advice and a friendly and supportive service, with the ability to build great relationships and work in teams. If you have an eye for detail, a commitment to accuracy, and confidence in interpreting complex data to provide meaningful insights and are able to deal with people of all levels in the business, you can make a tangible impact on our commercial results.
